Spot Great Crested Grebes, African Spoonbills, and the famous Great White Pelicans, a highlight for bird enthusiasts. Relax in the serene surroundings of Lake Elementaita Mountain Lodge, enjoying the lake’s peaceful ambience and spectacular sunset views before dinner and overnight stay.
The tour continues with Lake Nakuru, Kenya’s renowned bird haven, where massive colonies of Lesser Flamingos shimmer along the lake shores. Explore Lake Bogoria, famous for its alkaline waters and over a million flamingos, as well as over 350 bird species including Black-necked Grebes and Cape Teals. Tour Details
Day 1: Lake Naivasha To Lake Elementaita
After breakfast leave for Lake Naivasha.
The lake hosts over 400 species of birds i.e. Eurasian Teal, lesser and greater flamingos to name a few. We then proceed to Lake Elementaita which is known for its hot springs and rivers. The lake is home to over 400 species of birds i.e Great Crested Grebe, Greater and Lesser Flamingos, African Spoonbill among others and is a well-known breeding site for the Great White Pelicans.
Overnight in Lake Elementaita Mountain Lodge.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru To Bogoria
After breakfast leave for Lake Nakuru also known as the Bird Lovers hub and known for its vast colonies of The Lesser flamingos that live on the shore of the park’s lake. The lake is home to a variety of birds with over 400 species of birds i.e. African Thrush, Western Reef Heron, Blue-Spotted Wood Dove among many others.
We later leave for Lake Bogoria, which is one of Kenya’s alkaline and Saline lakes. The lake is home to over a million Lesser Flamingos and also hosts over 350 species of birds i.e. The Black-necked Grebe, Cape Teal, Pallid Harrier just to mention but a few.
Overnight in Lake Elementaita Mountain Lodge.
Day 3: Lake Bogoria To Lake Baringo
After breakfast leave for Lake Bogoria, in case we missed any birds from the previous evening. We shall later on go to Lake Baringo which is a shallow lake with no outlet.
The lake is also home to over 300 species of birds i.e. Allen’s Gallinule, Northern Red Bishop, Northern White-faced Scopes Owl among other species.
Overnight in Lomanira Splendour.
Day 4: Tour Concludes
After breakfast leave for Nairobi, depending on your flight go straight to the airport or spend the night in one of the hotels.
